In honor of Valentine’s Day, I’m sharing some little areas of our home that I love. Above is our sitting room that I adore, which now feels more complete with some framed wedding photos and a throw blanket with our monogram, which was a Christmas gift from one of my sisters.

For February I ordered this “love” banner, which hangs on our mantle with the gold-wrapped hurricanes I am so happy I snagged from Target last summer. The “Mr. & Mrs.” sign was a small decoration I ordered to sit on our sweetheart table at our wedding, and it made its way to the mantle shortly after the wedding. (P.S. Someone please tell T we need a smaller TV so I have more space to decorate okay? He disagrees with me on that one.)

This photo album from our wedding cracks me up. (Are we seeing a theme here? So much of our wedding made its way into our house!) It houses all of the photos from the photo booth we had, and there are some gems of our family and friends within. One of my favorites includes a friend’s baby bump, which will be fun to share with her daughter someday.
Also from our wedding, a framed poem about Boston that I love, partially because it’s about my favorite city in the world and partially because it has appeared a couple of times in my life in meaningful ways. It sits next to an aloe plant I’ve had for about six years now, which desperately needs to be repotted! Clearly, I’ve gotten better in the kitchen, because I’m no longer snapping off leaves to soothe burns (well, not as often, anyway)!
In our dining room (which has taupe walls that photograph terribly) sits my dried wedding bouquet alongside T’s boutonniere. The container with the gold ribbon was also at our wedding.
Having these small items around the house is in some ways more meaningful than having photos scattered around (but don’t worry, I have plenty of photos, too). It makes me smile to see my wedding bouquet when we’re having dinner, or to cozy up in the throw with our monogram on it.

It will be fun telling Rowan she was kind of at Auntie Alyssa's wedding 🙂
