Let’s talk about Tula under eye sticks. And which Tula eye balm is best? (Of the three they offer!) I started buying Tula products years ago after they did a massive influencer campaign and some of my favorite follows kept posting about them. But unlike a lot of the things I’ve been influenced to buy, Tula’s products are REALLY good. I have since purchased their moisturizer for my mom and grandmother, their purifying cleanser multiple times, and I even got a kit of mini items for travel so I can leave the bigger jars behind. They have 3 different eye balms on their website, and I couldn’t decide which to try – so I figured I’d try all three and then give an honest review of them! Which Tula eye balm is best? I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the three eye balms they offer. They all have slightly different ingredients for your skin concerns, from fine lines to brightening. My favorite is probably the pink stick, but you may find that the blue or white sticks help you look your best!
Tula Eye Balm Review
I’m breaking down each of Tula’s eye balms – what’s in them, what they’re supposed to do, and which one I like best.
Tula Eye Balm Review (An Honest Review + Which Is Best)
Original Brightening Eye Balm (Tula blue stick)
This was the first eye balm Tula created, and it was a huge hit when it was first released. It is meant to be cooling and brightening, and it is supposed to “fill” the fine lines around your eyes so that you look (and feel!) more refreshed. You can swipe it under and around your eyes (which I do in the morning) and on top of your cheekbones, too.
This one became an instant best seller on Tula’s site. It’s called the Glow & Get It and is meant to be “an instant pick-me-up” for tired eyes. It’s in a portable, easy-to-carry size that fits in your belt bag or purse. Easy to apply, and gives you immediate hydration and cooling so you look and feel refreshed. On their site, the blue stick has over 4,000 positive reviews.
Ingredients/what’s in it:
Caffeine – to help tighten and firm the look of fine lines and wrinkles
Aloe water, apple and watermelon – hydrate and reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles
Probiotic extracts – to improve skin smoothness and calm the look of irritation
Hyaluronic acid – helps to hydrate skin
Rose Brightening Eye Balm (Tula pink stick)
Tula’s second eye balm, the Rose Glow & Get It, was created with even more great stuff to help reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles and to help you look your best. Alongside the same caffeine and superfoods in the blue stick, the rose stick also has rosehip oil (a plant-based retinol alternative) and rosewater (great for hydration!). On their site, the pink stick has thousands of positive reviews.
Rosehip oil and rosewater – to help tone and nourish skin
Day and Night Eye Balm (Tula white stick)
The newest addition to the eye balm line up, the white stick (called the 24-7 Power Swipe) is meant to be used day or night to help skin feel and look firmer, to improve skin texture, and to make wrinkles look less visible. This one is part of the 24-7 line, alongside my favorite Day & Night Cream.
Ingredients/what’s in it:
Caffeine, apple and watermelon – to help tighten and firm the look of fine lines and wrinkles
Eye peptides and collagen – help reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles
Prebiotic and probiotic extracts – to improve skin smoothness and maintain balance
Hyaluronic acid and squalene – helps to hydrate skin
Cocoa seed extract – protects from the damaging effects of blue light and provides antioxidant protection
Allergy/Ingredient Notes – especially for sensitive skin
All 3 eye balms are created without parabens, sulfates, mineral oils, retinol, fragrance, dimethicone, and dairy. Why is this important? Tula uses ingredients that are cleaner – for your skin – and less likely to cause irritation. Dimethicone is a silicone that is frequently used in drugstore brands promising firming. It basically acts like a plastic barrier on top of the skin. It’s also often found in hair products (anything promising frizz-fighting, for example). I personally like that Tula uses a retinol alternative, because retinol increases skin cell production (and turning skin cells over faster can reduce fine lines and wrinkles) which is great for your face – but it’s a product you are not supposed to use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. I’m always a little wary of products you aren’t supposed to use when pregnant because… what do they do?? Retinol also tends to cause irritation, especially on sensitive skin.
Which eye balm is best?
I’ve added two of the three eye balms to my everyday routine: but for different reasons. The white stick is one I love for night use, which I put on before my moisturizer. In the mornings I like to use the rose stick, especially if I’m tired or feel like I look tired. I swipe it on under my makeup. If you want to choose one stick to try, I’d personally choose the rose/pink stick!
