Quince Haul Review: Here’s What’s Worth Buying (And Not)

When I first found Quince, I had a hard time finding thorough Quince reviews to see if the brand was actually legit. So, I decided to buy a bunch of items with my own money and write my own.

Fast forward to 2026, and many orders later, I’ve become incredibly familiar with Quince clothing and their home goods. Quince is built around the idea of “affordable luxury,” promising premium materials like Mongolian cashmere and Italian leather at a fraction of the traditional retail price.

But do they actually deliver? After years of testing, I can confidently say that while not everything is worth buying, there are many Quince clothing items that completely live up to the hype.

If you are wondering if Quince clothing is worth it, let’s discuss!

Who is Quince?

Quince is a direct-to-consumer website where you can purchase clothing, accessories, and home goods at significantly lower prices than traditional retail. By cutting out the middleman and shipping directly from the manufacturer to you, they are able to offer high-quality essentials—like a 100% cashmere sweater for just $50. They regularly compare their products to brands like Everlane, J.Crew, and Vince. You can read more about that on their About page, where they also discuss their quality and sustainability efforts.

How I Tested Quince For This Review

To give you the most accurate Quince review possible, I didn’t just try these clothes on once. Here is my testing methodology:

  • Real-world wear: I wore these pieces in my daily life, from running errands with my kids to walking 15,000 steps a day traveling across Europe.
  • Wash testing: I washed the items according to my actual habits (including throwing some delicate items in the regular wash to see how they survived).
  • Longevity: This review includes items I’ve owned for over three years to assess how they hold up to pilling, stretching, and fading.

Comprehensive Quince Clothing Review

I chose a variety of bestsellers to test the quality across different categories. For sizing reference, I am 5’7″ and normally a true size medium. I ordered a medium in all Quince clothing unless otherwise noted.

I also wanted to get this dress, but it’s started to get chilly in New England so I knew I wouldn’t get much wear out of it. But if/when we plan a warm-weather trip, I’m going to order it to try! I’m also planning to order this cross body bag for spring and summer travel.

Sweaters and Cashmere

A sizing note: I am a true medium in every brand I shop. For all of these Quince sweaters, I bought a medium. Here’s how it went!

100% Organic Cotton Fisherman Boxy Cropped Cardigan (Buy)

Obsessed. I wear this at least every other week, and more than once I’ve been asked if it was J.Crew. It’s the perfect boxy fit. I’m 5’7″ and it hits me right at the waist.

Batwing Sweater (Buy)

I own a couple of other batwing sweaters and reach for them often in the winter months because they’re so cozy! The fabric of this sweater is a dream. It’s so soft. The length is perfect for jeans or leggings. It comes in 6 different colors and 2 different cashmere weights, and this is one I’m going to hang onto. I ordered the S/M size (it comes in S/M or L/XL). This is a keep!

Cashmere Everyday Crew Neck Sweater (Buy)

At $50, this crew neck cashmere sweater is such a steal. I have a similar sweater from Nordstrom (one of their in-house brands) that I think I paid $80 for at a major sale. This one from Quince comes in 14 (!) different colors). It’s super soft, fits true to size, and the length feels perfect for an everyday cashmere crew neck that you’ll most likely pair with jeans or work pants. I ordered the medium. Update: After wearing this one A LOT over 2 years, I will say that the sweater holds up fairly well. I wash it in my normal washer, and it started to show wear after a year of consistent wearing/washing. (I hang it dry.) This one is a keep, and the price is good enough that it’s not going to be a budget breaker if I have to replace it after a couple of years.

Mongolian Cashmere Tee (Buy)

I have this in black and find it to be true to size, comfy, and a perfect transition season top! I ordered the medium. It’s very similar to a J.Crew short sleeve cashmere I have that was more than double the price of this one from Quince. Keep! It’s a great transition piece between seasons.

Baby Alpaca Wool Quarter Zip Sweater (Skip)

I didn’t love this sweater, to be honest. It’s soft, for sure, but it felt really thin. I left the tags on because you can see them through the sweater, and I wanted to show you guys that so you could see what I mean about the fabric! I ordered the medium in this. I returned this because I knew it just wouldn’t be warm enough for New England winters.

Baby Alpaca Wool Cropped Cardigan (Skip)

Another miss for me. The fabric felt too thin- like it’s more of a fashion statement than a warm piece. Which is totally fine, it just doesn’t work for me. I ordered the medium in this. Returned!

Other Women’s Clothing

European Linen Wide Leg Pants (Buy)

I bought these as an alternative to the activewear I live in during the summer months. They’re SO nice. They’re lightweight, look very chic, and are comfortable. Highly recommend! The medium fits true to size and I will definitely be getting these in another color. I brought these (in black) to Europe with us and was so comfortable in them walking 10k step days.

quince linen pants

Ultra-Stretch Ponte Straight Leg Pant (Buy)

A lifetime ago I had to wear “business” wear to work, and these would have been an absolute dream to have back then. I ended up returning them because I just don’t need a pair of fancy black pants right now in my life, but the fabric was really nice and they fit like a dream. (true to size) If you work in an office setting, these are a good buy.

Ultra-Soft High-Rise Pocket Legging (Buy)

These are such a good fit. They’re somewhere between “I don’t know I even have leggings on” and “I feel completely held in where I want to be,” which is the goal when I’m shopping for the best pair of leggings! I bought these in navy and plan to buy them in another color soon. They fit true to size- I bought my normal medium and they were perfect. I definitely plan to repurchase these! Keep!

Tencel Jersey Side Tie Dress (Buy)

I wanted a very easy throw-on-and-go dress, so I ordered this side tie dress. It was honestly perfect for hiding my postpartum stomach. I wore it frequently right after I had our third baby, and it was the perfect piece to throw on and go. It looks great with sneakers or flats.

Leather Handbags and Luggage

Italian Pebbled Leather Sling Bag (Buy)

I ordered this in the Mink color! It’s a nicely made bag. I actually sent it back because I felt like it was too nice for what I wanted- I was looking for something I could just throw in my car. (I ultimately bought a cheap belt bag from Amazon instead.) If you’re looking for an elevated belt bag, this is it. I’m considering rebuying this to take on our vacation this summer.

quince bags

Italian Leather Triple Compartment Shopper Tote (Buy)

I had my eye on this leather tote bag for about a year and finally decided to buy it when my trusty vegan tote bag started to tear. The quality of this one is so good. I like the middle compartment that zips for my wallet, and it perfectly fits my laptop, a notebook, and a few other things. It’s a stiff leather and has pretty bottom feet too. I’ll come back and update after I’ve used it for a while about how it holds up over time!

If you prefer to watch a review in video form, you can check out this Quince Haul Review from my YouTube channel!

Luggage (Buy)

I ordered the regular size luggage and carry on size but have honestly used the carry on a lot more. It fits SO much because of how they did the internal zipper and elasticized compression bands. I can fit a whole week of clothes into this carry on! It has held up beautifully after a year of regular use. This is the luggage I reach for the most. Definitely recommend!

Quince suitcase, Away suitcase, carry on luggage

P.S. I did a whole review of my Quince carry on luggage (similar to Away luggage!).

Baby & Kids

Washable Cashmere Hooded Cardigan (Buy as gifts)

My youngest wore this at least once a week for a few months. I wasn’t very gentle with it (I washed it with our normal clothes rather than on delicate or hand wash), and it still held up okay. After she was done with it (after a few months), it grew a couple of pinholes. Because of that I can’t really donate or hand it down, so it’s sitting in a pile that I call “I don’t know what to do with this.” That said, the care instructions DO tell you to hand wash using cold water, which I completely ignored. I’d recommend this as a baby gift!

Washable Cashmere Beanie & Bootie Set (Buy as gifts)

Admittedly my son only wore the booties once, but he wore the beanie well after his second birthday. It’s soft, and it’s one of the only hats he would tolerate as a toddler. (We had the 6-12 month size.) Plus it’s super cute with the star print! I wish they sold the hat separately and in larger sizes because I would repurchase it in larger sizes. Great baby gift!

Washable Cashmere Fisherman Tunic Sweater (Buy)

Another must-have on the Quince site, the washable cashmere fisherman tunic sweater is SO soft and perfect for toddlers in the wintertime. My daughter is in a true 2T right now, and I’d say this sweater runs slightly large. The sleeves are a bit long, but I just roll them up. We’ve gotten red sauce all over this sweater and haven’t had an issue getting it out (again, I’m not good about washing the kids’ clothes on a delicate cycle so it goes into the normal wash).

Washable Cashmere Hoodie & Jogger Bundle (Maybe)

Here’s another one that I wish came as separates for big kids, because my daughter loves the hoodie but has only ever worn the pants once. She is a true size 7 and the pants are a bit short on her. When I got this set it came in a few different colors (she has purple), but right now it’s only available in gray. Quality-wise, the hoodie has held up pretty well. After throwing it into the wash with our regular wash cycle, it has a couple of small holes in it, but that’s pretty much a win for cashmere.

100% Organic Cotton Long Sleeve and Pant Pajama Set (Buy)

These remind me of Hanna Andersson pajamas- more tall and narrow than brands like Carter’s. Personally I love this because my daughter is tall and thin, so these fit her really well. If your child is between sizes, I’d size up if they are of average or higher weight. I bought these for my 7 year old in the navy blue cats print, and they are really great quality so far! I bought a size 8 for her (she’s between a 7 and 8 right now), so that she would have the extra length, and she definitely has some room to grow. I didn’t notice any color bleed when I washed these, but if you purchase a darker pair I would wash with darker clothing OR use one of those Color Catcher sheets to be safe. (Also worth noting that I have washed these twice and have not noticed any wash wear on them- something I always see happen on our darker Little Sleepies pajamas!)

Organic Gripper Ankle Socks (Buy)

I bought these in a 4T-5T for my son (who is currently in a size 4/5 for most clothing) and in a toddler size 2T-3T for my daughter (who is currently 2 and mostly in size 2 clothing). Both sets are true to size in my opinion. My daughter definitely has room to grow into her socks (she’s in a size 5.5 shoe right now), and my son’s fit perfectly (he wears a size 11 shoe). These remind me of the Bombas we have, but thicker. The grips are plentiful, which means no one is falling down in the house/on the hardwood floors. Love these- highly recommend!

Recycled Lunchbox (Buy)

Compared to Pottery Barn Kids lunchboxes, there are some pros and cons to the Quince kids lunchbox. The Quince lunchbox is smaller than the PBK lunchbox, but it still has an interior zip pocket for utensils, it’s insulated, and it has an exterior pocket as well. My favorite feature is the clip handle that you can use to easily attach the lunchbox to your child’s backpack or other bag. (I’ve also used it to attach to the handle of the stroller when we’re out and about.) My biggest complaint with the shiny material (which is not available on the site anyway right now) is that it scratches. My 7 year old, however, loves it and does not care. Quince also makes a backpack and a suitcase in the same material.

Maternity Clothing

Quince has its own line of maternity clothes. They have some really nice basics, like t-shirts and wrap dresses, joggers, leggings, and loungewear. I had a navy wrap dress that was in the Quince maternity line but worked postpartum as well, but it’s no longer available on their maternity dresses page.

Maternity T-Shirts (Buy)

I have a couple of the ruched maternity t-shirts and they’re soft, comfortable, and long which I love. I wore these constantly through my pregnancy in my normal size medium, which accommodated a rather large bump. I thought the maternity tees were comparable to some I had from Old Navy in the past.

Micromodal High Waisted Maternity & Postpartum Underwear (Buy)

Another big hit for me is their maternity/postpartum underwear. It’s stretchy, super high waisted, and comfortable. I lived in the postpartum undies from Quince for the weeks after I had our third baby.

Men’s Clothing

Flowknit Breeze Performance Tee (Buy)

Don’t sleep on the mens t-shirts. I bought one for my husband and it’s so good that I got him a second, plus a long-sleeve version. It’s soft, washes really well, and comes in a bunch of different colors. Plus it’s made of recycled materials! I think it’s similar to one he has from Nike that was more than double the cost of the workout t-shirt from Quince. I highly recommend these as a gift for men!

Mongolian Cashmere Pullover Hoodie (Buy)

This sweater easily looks like it cost double the price. Runs true to size with a pouch and ribbed details. It looks really nice on my husband, and he picks it when we’re going out to dinner or doing something with a “smart casual” dress code.

Comfort Stretch Traveler 5-Pocket Pants (Buy)

My husband asked me to get him some of these because he thought they looked comfortable. So far he’s worn them once a week so I would say that’s his stamp of approval! They look nice- similar to pants he has from Bonobos (which were much pricier). Fit note: He’s between sizes and ended up sizing down for a better fit.

Organic Cotton Classic Stretch 9″ Chino Shorts (Buy)

A Note on Quince Shipping

When I first ordered from Quince back in 2023, packages took a couple of weeks to arrive and had customs forms. However, on my most recent orders in 2026, packages arrived much faster- sometimes within two days!

It appears they now have US warehouses. Just be aware that items from the same order often ship in separate packages (via Veho, standard mail, or overseas). Because their return policy is so generous, returning items from split packages isn’t a hassle.

FAQs about Quince

So is Quince legit?

Yes! I have ordered from Quince about 10 times now.

Quince returns

I have found returns with Quince to be really easy! Like I mentioned above, I wanted to return the two thinner sweaters, so I just logged in and submitted a return request. I printed a label they sent me, packed it up and shipped it out! You don’t pay for returns shipping. Their return policy is a full 365 days, so you don’t have to rush on returns either which is nice.

Issues with Quince

I ordered two different pans and only one arrived with no notice from Quince. When I emailed Quince customer service, they refunded me because one of the pans was out of stock. I emailed them back to say, “hey, I had used a coupon code so I was only refunded $8 but want to buy a different pan – can you help me with this.” They were SO helpful and immediately sent me a coupon code for $40 off, more than the amount of the coupon code I had used on my original order. So while I was annoyed that the pan didn’t arrive, they definitely made up for it.

Is Quince a sustainable brand?

One thing I was very interested in is whether or not Quince can still be sustainable – and pay workers a living wage – with such low prices. But according to their website, they only partner with “factories who meet or exceed global guidelines for workplace safety and equitable wages.” As for materials, a quick glance at their product offering shows alpaca wool, cashmere, organic cotton, organic linen, and eco-friendly dyes, as well as 100% recycled polyester. I like that they have visibility into what it actually costs them to make a product, too. Many of their product pages have prices broken down by what Quince actually pays.

Where are Quince products made?

It totally depends on the product! Some of their cashmere is sourced from Mongolia. Quince has a line of washable silk dresses, which are made in China. Their bamboo sheets are noted that they are made in China as well. The Italian leather bags are made in Florence, Italy. I love that they partner with factories who pay workers a living wage.

Quince is only good for some things. I love my Quince 8” knife, it does a great job of slicing, and just a little sharpening will bring it back to its former glory.
Their cashmere, however, is absolutely terrible. I have had a couple of J.Crew cashmere scarves, one for about 5 years, and the other longer, and I wear my green one daily in the winter, and it’s still beautiful. I was gifted a couple of cashmere sweaters from Quince. Particularly, I was gifted 2 cashmere hoodies, with the dark green being my fave, because it was so cozy and warm. I went to visit family in Georgia, and I opted to take my comfy sweater with me. I wore it three times, and by the third day, it was pilling terribly. I stopped wearing it, and I used my little pill removing device when I got home. This is when I discovered that it was also coming apart at the seams of the hood. I was told that Quince is recycled cashmere, which is why it’s so cheap, and it shows.
I also travel a lot for work. I got a black Quince suitcase to replace my 5-year-old Tumi suitcase, and the shell of the suitcase broke at the wheel during one of my trip within 6 months.
It may seem like a good buy, but it does not stand the test of time, and definitely gets worse for the wear.

Thanks for sharing! I’ve been traveling with my Quince carry on for about a year and haven’t had any issues- but I don’t know how it will hold up when it’s checked. I’m assuming yours was being used as a checked bag?

I’ve been wearing my Quince cashmere t-shirt and while I don’t think it’s the best of the best, it’s a good price for what it is! I haven’t experienced the same pilling but will keep an eye out for it!
