I think men are the hardest to shop for. Every Christmas it takes me forever to decide what to buy for T, my dad, and my brothers-in-law. I think part of the problem is that if they want something (which isn’t that often), they just go buy it – so when their birthdays or the holidays roll around, there isn’t much on their wish lists!
I’ve started making lists through the year of gifts I’d like to give, and these are at the top of my list for the boys.
If he’s a history buff: A vintage map of his favorite city, where you met, where you got married, or where he went to college.
If he’s a sports fan: You can’t go wrong with a 1/4-zip with his favorite team’s logo or tickets to a game!
If he travels a lot: Noise-canceling headphones are clutch, whether he’s on the subway commuting or on a flight. If he drives a lot, he should have a car jump starter in his trunk. If you’re looking for a splurge gift, get him a new camera that he can take for travel photos! So much better than an iPhone, but it’s still small enough that it can fit in his pocket.
