Bombas Socks: Are They Really Worth It?

A few years ago my husband started buying socks from Bombas. Pretty soon all of his socks had been replaced. We got them for our daughter, and our son, and our baby. And then even Mom (me!) got some! So what makes Bombas socks so special, and are they worth the cost? Read on to find out!

Bombas socks started with the mission of “buy one, gift one”- so every time you bought a pair of socks, they donated a pair to someone experiencing homelessness. They still do this, and now that they have expanded their product line, they donate an item like socks, undershirts, or underwear- depending on what you buy.

Now Bombas has become a household name for comfortable, cushioned socks.

You might be wondering why are Bombas socks so expensive compared to socks you could buy anywhere else. They’re pricey, no doubt, so why are Bombas socks so popular?

What we like about Bombas

Bombas are cushioned in all the right places. And they somehow feel like they’re hugging your foot on the arch, but they never leave a mark!

They also never fall down. Maybe it’s the way they do the Y-seam in the back, but my Bombas never slide down into my sneakers when I’m out and about.

My kids like the short kids Bombas in the summer and the longer Merino wool Bombas in the winter months. (Bombas socks come in a variety of heights: no show, ankle, quarter, half calf, calf, and knee high.)

The “junior” Bombas don’t have any toe seams, which is great for kids who hate those. The baby socks have grips on the bottom, and toddler socks come in grippy and non grippy too.

Bombas now even makes slippers that are lined with extra cozy warmth!

The last thing I’ll say about Bombas is that they stand by their product. The website claims “hassle free returns:”

“Free replacements, exchanges, or returns for store credit with no expiration date after purchase—no matter how many times you’ve washed your item (or how many holes your dog has chewed in them).”

We honestly have not had to test out their return policy yet, but if we do I will report back!

So are Bombas worth the cost?

To us, yes. They’re so much more comfortable than many of our other socks!
