Wedding season is upon us, which can only mean one thing: Your calendar is filling up with bridal showers and bachelorette parties and wedding events, and your closet is filling up with outfits for each event.
Since we’re getting married this summer, I’ve put myself on a strict budget for shopping. In the past I bought a different outfit for each event I was going to – with Instagram, people are going to see you, and it’s embarrassing to wear the same thing twice, right? (Kate Middleton says, “wrong!”) Instead:
- Invest in a simple dress you can change the look of with jewelry and accessories. A glittery shoe for one wedding with simple jewelry and bold heels for another with bright earrings instantly changes your look.
- Use a dress rental service where you can get a designer dress for a fraction of the price (especially if you are going to a black tie wedding).
