I honestly hate spending full price for anything, which is why I was excited to find REBEL. (I previously posted about them as one of my top tips in “I Never Pay Full Price on Baby Gear: Here’s How“) Today I’m sharing my experience ordering from REBEL, and the highs and the lows and potentially frustrating things about it. Read on!

Is FromRebel legit? Who are they?
The company’s name is REBEL, formerly known as Rebelstork, and their website is fromrebel – and yes, they’re legit. REBEL sells openbox, overstock items – not returns or secondhand items. They partner with many top name brands, like Keenz, BOB Gear, Nuna, and more – brands you’ll know if you have ever had a baby in the house!

My experience ordering from REBEL
REBEL discount code
If you’re ordering from REBEL, I have a discount code you can use: FEATHERANDSTRIPES-15 for 15% off orders $100+
Ordering
Easy as pie. I love that they’re integrated with Shopify, so if you use the Shop app it’s a quick one-two to order and you’re done!
Shipping
I placed my latest order on October 29 and it arrived on November 5. There were no major holidays, so it was 7 days from order to arriving on my step. You do have to pay for shipping. I paid $7.99 for standard shipping on my order.
Tracking
This is where some frustration comes in. My order contained three items, which all looked like they had different tracking numbers. But when I got a box on my doorstep (and an email that one of my items had arrived), that box actually contained all 3 items. (But for the record- One of the items was damaged and I had no trouble returning it even though the online portal still said it was pre-shipment.)
Returns
I have only had to return one thing to REBEL, and it was extremely easy. I went into the portal, submitted a claim, added a photo of the damage to the item I purchased, and that was it. It said I was going to get a refund and didn’t need to send the item back, which was helpful. (I originally went through as a return and it said I would need to spend $8.14 on a shipping label back to them or could buy my own label. Then I realized there’s a different button for submitting a claim vs a return, and that’s when I was able to get a refund without sending it back.)
Overall, I would recommend REBEL to anyone who needs to buy gear for a baby, kids, or home. The things I’ve gotten from REBEL so far include a BOB Gear wagon, an Ergobaby Metro+ stroller, Snapware (food storage containers) for the kitchen, a mug, and a backpack.
A little more about REBEL (FAQs)…
What is an open box item? An open box product generally means just that- the box has been opened. It could be that the item was a floor model, it could be a returned product in new condition, or it could be overstock inventory from retailers that they can’t sell within a certain season. Because of logistics, a lot of returns are not put back into the retail cycle and end up in landfills. REBEL was created to provide a way for those items to stay out of landfills, giving buyers an opportunity to buy them at a discount. Open box items go through a check before being listed on their website.
The items I got mostly were brand new. In all of the orders I’ve placed, only one item has arrived damaged (a backpack). And even then it took me about a minute to submit a claim and get a full refund without having to return the product (which saved me time too).
