Mirrors on a Budget

I was looking at mirrors with my mother-in-law last night to add to her new sitting room/TV room and came to a sudden realization: Pretty much every room in my house has a mirror. Wait… nope, every single room except the kitchen has one. And that’s only because the kitchen and living room are open-concept, so there are no walls in the kitchen that are cabinet-free.

So why my obsession with mirrors? They reflect natural light, and they come in all shapes and sizes (and colors!) – and can be a cost-effective decorative object if you have the wall space! And if you can’t hang a mirror on the wall (or just don’t want to), you can find floor mirrors almost everywhere. (The floor mirror in my office is from Homegoods and was only $100!) If you like the look, you can add mirrored furniture, which does double duty for light reflection. Just make sure you have a lot of glass cleaner on hand, because the one mirrored end table I have shows #allofthedust 😉

Here are 6 mirrors you could add to any room in your house without breaking the bank. I’m considering a couple of these as new additions.

Mirrors on a budget

Top, left to right: round ($50) // oval ($219) // Moroccan ($279)
Bottom, left to right: classic ($319) // window ($65) // round window ($40)

Is there anything in your house that you have in each room (but maybe don’t realize it)?
