Lightweight Carry On Luggage Review

I’ve never been one to pack light, so when I was looking for a new suitcase I knew I needed the lightest bag possible. There are SO many options of carry on suitcases and full size luggage sets.

A while ago I shared a review of Quince clothing, and afterwards the Quince team offered to send me their new luggage to try out, including their lightweight carry on. (In case you’re unfamiliar, Quince is a direct-to-consumer brand. That means they cut out the middleman of having stores or holding inventory, and they ship directly from their warehouses.) I was excited to try out their new carry on because it’s been a while since we upgraded our luggage!

Let’s talk about Quince luggage!

Quince luggage

At just 6.2 lbs the Quince carry on is the lightest carry on suitcase I’ve ever had. It’s supposed to fit 5-7 outfits, and I definitely put that to the test. Turns out that even without an expander I could fit enough for myself AND my new baby for a full week away.

Shop the luggage on Black Friday sale this season!

What I love about this carry on suitcase

  • Not heavy! In and out of the car, up the stairs… it’s much lighter than any carry on I’ve ever had.
  • The color: When I fly, I always see black bag after black bag come off the plane. Quince offers the standard black in this carry on (and the full size suitcase, too) but also beige, navy, light blue, and green if you want your luggage to be easier to spot.
  • It fits a lot! Even without using my favorite packing cubes, I could fit so much in here. I was really impressed with just how much fit inside the luggage! (On the Quince site they say you can fit 9-12 outfits in the full size luggage and 5-7 outfits in the carry on version of the 2 piece luggage set)
  • 360 degree spinner wheels
  • Interior compression system that helps you fit more
  • TSA combination lock
  • Removable laundry bag for dirty clothes

FYI: Quince compares their luggage to similar hard shell suitcases by Away, Monos, and Paravel. Quince’s suitcase, though, is 49%-58% off of the prices of a suitcase by one of those other luggage brands!
