33 Week Bumpdate + Nursery Sneak Peek

33 weeks pregnant blogger bumpdate

earrings // dress c/o Tiffany Rose Maternity

Oh hello, big bump!

How far along: A little over 33 weeks pregnant!

Baby’s size: About the size of a pineapple or cauliflower. She should be somewhere around 4 lbs. and around 17 inches long, according to my apps!

Movement: So. Much. Movement. In the past 6 weeks the baby has been moving around so, so much. I can see it from the outside, too, which is kind of crazy! I had thought I would be weirded out by this movement, but it’s so cool.

Name: None yet! We started a spreadsheet of names we like, but nothing has really clicked yet. I’m wondering if we will have a name before we go to the hospital!

Cravings/Aversions: Nothing really new here, except that I tried eating a little bit of pesto last week and I could actually eat it!

Related posts you might like: The pregnancy books and apps I’ve loved!

Most excited about: Finishing her room! Seeing all of the maternity photos we took. Figuring out her name. Meeting her! Learning her personality. Being a mom! And watching T be a dad! Time is flying, and we’re getting to some of the bigger items on our third trimester to do list.

Least excited about: The delivery and recovery process. I’ve gotten over the fact that blood tests are kind of the norm now, but medical stuff really isn’t my jam (it never has been!). And having to spend a few days in the hospital and then knowing I’ll be laid up for a few weeks at least? Insert whiny face here. I’m also nervous about postpartum depression, which is very real for a lot of moms! And I worry about how Sprout will react to having a baby in the house (though if the past is any indication of the future, things should go swimmingly *knock on wood*).

Weight gain: Still on track for the (upper end of the) 25-40 lb weight gain. I just want to make sure the baby is healthy and that I don’t overdo it gaining weight, and my doctor has been super encouraging in saying that I’m on track and shouldn’t worry.

Exercise: These days my exercise is mostly walking and short hikes. It actually works out really well because it’s great for the dogs, too. (Yes, dogs. Plural. We’re watching my sister’s dog for about 6 weeks while she’s out of the country for work. Sprout is having a great time having his cousin stay over!)

Maternity clothes: I’m mostly wearing maternity clothing now, which is different from at 26 weeks when I was still in mostly non-maternity items! This is the most comfortable maternity dress ever created. I have it in 4 colors and just keep rotating because I love it so much! (It also comes in a long sleeve version for the fall!)

Baby purchases: So many things!! We had two baby showers over the past couple of weekends, too. One thing I haven’t had to buy? Books. My sisters asked everyone to bring a book instead of a card, and I love that the baby’s bookshelves are full of books with personal messages inside! We have a pretty nice “completion discount” available for our registry, so we just have to decide what we absolutely want right now and what we can live without.

Want to see what we registered for? I included a long list here!

Nursery Sneak Peek

I’ll be doing a much more in-depth post of the baby’s nursery soon, but I wanted to give a little sneak peek! I love this little room so much already.

The print to the left – is that the song lyrics from Guys and Dolls? And if so, where did you get it? 🙂

I’ve never seen Guys and Dolls so I’m not sure! It’s a song my grandmother used to sing to me when I was little 🙂 I found it here: http://bit.ly/2uvMtII It’s not the exact same one, but super similar. You can also contact the shop owner and she might be able to get you the exact one if you’re interested! She’s who I purchased it from.
