Decorating Together

Once you move in together, it can be a struggle to decide what stays and what goes. My coworkers and I had a pretty hilarious conversation at happy hour on Friday about this, and I realized I’m not the only one who wasn’t sure how to decorate when T and I started blending our stuff. From a college-purchase tapestry to a lamp shaped like a ship, we had a hilarious time talking about what items we ladies begrudgingly agreed to keep. (I’d love to hear what the men have to say about this topic!)

I know I told you we’re in the middle of a living room redo, so bear with me while I obsess over interiors more than I usually do.

Here are some rooms that aren’t too girly but also don’t look like a bachelor pad (or a college dorm room). I’m using them as inspiration for our house while I go through my Springtime redecorating phase.

I’m obsessed with upholstered headboards, and I think they are perfectly gender-neutral as long as your bedding isn’t too frilly.

Wall sconces look polished in a grown-up bedroom, and this tufted headboard is gorg.

Blending items can be tricky, but luckily, you can make the eclectic look work if you need to 😉
