Big News… We’re Renovating!

Today I have some really, really exciting news to share… we’re doing a major home renovation!

We're renovating! Follow along as we do a major home renovation on our New England Cape-style house at feathersandstripes.com

It’s a project we have been talking about for years, but we hadn’t put anything into motion. Well, that all changed over the winter when we decided to either seriously talk about this renovation or move.

It’s not that our house is super tiny right now, but we know that it’s not going to get any easier to do a major renovation as our family grows and E gets older. We live in a small Cape Cod style home, which we love. We originally planned to be here only 3-5 years and have already gone past that timeframe. When we got serious about doing this remodel, we took a LOT of different things into account: location, finances, proximity to family and friends, etc.

We were so close to putting in an offer on a new construction house, but we ultimately decided to go ahead and do the custom renovation, so here we are!

I can’t wait to share more details as the project gets farther along.
